Hope4Chesterfield - Christians Together for Chesterfield

Now officially exists!

The Inaugural meeting was held on the evening of Tuesday 29th September at St John's Walton, and was chaired by Revd Philip Webb, County Ecumenical Officer for Derbyshire.

A good number of local churches were represented, and the constitution (widely circulated) was adopted.

Discussion regarding the cost of subscription resulted in a simple two tier system - small churches are invited to subscribe £25.00, large churches £50.00 (both to be seen as minimum offerings). Whether your church is small or large is for you to decide - but please join.

Agencies such as CASW, CEC and YMCA will be affiliated without subscription and their funding is for their specific projects. Arrangement for Local Churches Together Groups will be decided at the first steering group meeting

In the first instance the money will be to fund expenses and a website which will be use to advertise and promote local church events, agency events and H4C-CTfC events.

Through CTfC churches and agencies will be able to keep in touch, advertise their events, join with others, get involved in larger projects, get help from others.
